Well, it is the last day; we have left for our journey back home. It will take us about 3-4 days  to get back to Georgia, then we are there until the end of the wee for debrief. It has been bittersweet, this final week in a Thailand. I learn more and more about change and saying goodbyes, ending one season and onto the next.

I look at Isaiah 43:19, “for I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

He is walking beside me, as I finish this season and enter a new one. A friend of mine told me, “ending one season, opens the door to the next.”

Please be praying for our travels and that our eyes stay fixed on Him, even when the jet lag and layovers become challenging. It is hard to believe, but I am really excited to sleep in my own bed soon.

This last week of ministry I got to see the fruit being bared. Our group got to experience two of the students, at Tawesang, give their lives to Jesus and get baptized. Baptisms was a first for the ministry and our team felt so blessed and honored to be able to witness them. It make me reflect back on my own baptism, which was just a few months ago. A day I got to proclaim my faith in Jesus Christ, and also not being ashamed of the Gospel! The Gospel is what set me free! I got to see these young women being set free and proclaiming His great name. After baptisms, the ministry and our team went out to dinner together. God calls us to be in community and it is a beautiful thing. I got to see this again in the restaurant where we talked, laughed, and ate a meal together. Yes, there was a language barrier, but it did not matter. We were all United in Christ. I look at when Jesus held the last supper, all coming together.

Also, in ministry we taught on the armor of God. The students made 3D paper soldiers with all of the armor. The other lesson we taught was about Thanksgiving, as this is not a holiday they celebrate. We listened to music, made hand turkeys writing about what they are thankful for, and enjoyed some food together. It was adorable seeing what blessing the students wrote. He is so good! I am very thankful this ministry allowed us to teach and help bring new ideas. I feel super thankful for this ministry and will miss it!

There is still a lot to process from this trip, and so it is hard to write about everything. The Lord is so gracious, loving, and is truly wanting me to look more and more like Him. I always want to keep my eyes mixed on Him, even when I do not want His way, etc. Thank you Lord for this trip and letting me fix my eyes on You.

Hebrews 12:2, “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfector of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Amen!

Thank you Cambodia and Thailand, Lord your creation is beautiful. May His name be known here in Southeast Asia. Thank you for all my supporters who partnered with me on this journey. My hope and prayer is that my experience can be a testimony of the Lord and that it can be pleasing to Him. I pray this experience can be a testimony, and allow others to come to know and see how good He is.

Stay tuned to CGA and all that is to come!!

In Christ,

Olivia
